A domain name is a "web address" that you create for use on the Internet to let others know where they can find you. It is the address of your "website" and what one would type to visit your website. When one asks you what is your web address or if you want others to visit your website on the internet, you will provide them with your web address, also known as your domain name.
Domain name registration means that you will register the web address that you want to use on the Internet with a Domain Name Registrar - i.e "Godaddy.com" or click on the link listed below. Once you have registered your domain name, then you can use it to set up a website. When selecting your domain name, you will be able to select the extension that you would like to use. The extension serves as an identify as to the type of company that may own the domain, i.e. .com=commercial, .net-network, .org=organization, gov=government, .biz=business, etc.
For example our Domain Name is:
www.webbusiness.com
(this is also referred to as our web address)
